Celtic ace Greg Taylor limps off in win v Ross County, could miss Old Firm clash v Rangers
Rangers have been handed a boost ahead of the Old Firm clash with Celtic after Greg Taylor limped off injured in their win over Ross County.
Celtic claimed a 2-0 win to restore their nine-point lead at the top of the table ahead of next weekend’s Old Firm derby, but were dealt a blow when left-back Taylor was forced off after a collision.
After the game manager Ange Postecoglou admitted he had suffered a dead leg but wouldn’t confirm if he would definitely be okay for the big game at Parkhead (8 April).

“Yeah he’s alright, I think he’s just got a bit of a dead leg,” he said, as quoted by Football Scotland (2 April).
“He just caught a bit of a knock and is struggling with it but nothing too serious.”
Boost
While the game next weekend likely will mean little in terms of the actual title race because of the gap, it’s big for many other reasons.
Beale has won every single game as manager of Rangers since taking over in November except two – the two Old Firm derbies.

He has to put that right quickly in order to help show the progression being made under him to the fans, but also with the cup semi-final to come at the end of the month it would be a big psychological win for the club too.
Taylor isn’t the most glamorous name for Celtic but he is a steady player and his absence, if confirmed, would be a big boost for our chances of success considering the form of Malik Tillman and Fashion Sakala.
It’s one to watch over the next week or so, and one to be targeted by Beale even if he does make it because he likely won’t be 100%.
In other Rangers news, scouts are present in Greece to watch this “impeccable” player according to a reliable journalist.
