Rangers official partner reacts as Allan McGregor set for testimonial v Newcastle
Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor is set to have a testimonial against Premier League side Newcastle on 18 July at Ibrox.
Gers took to Twitter to make the announcement on Twitter on 31 March, which saw Four Lads Had a Dream, their official media partners reacting to the news.
The 41-year-old has not represented Newcastle in his career, but they have agreed to face his side for the testimonial game to commemorate his two-decade-long career as well as over 15 years at Ibrox.
Via Twitter, Four Lads wrote, “Congratulations to Allan McGregor on his testimonial. A truly terrific goalkeeper for Rangers with some unbelievable individual saves and moments.”
Absolute legend
McGregor has been a fan favourite during both of his stints at the club and it’s only fitting for him to have his testimonial and final game for Gers.

Whenever he does decide to hang up his boots, there will be very few dry eyes at Ibrox as he’s been a legend for the Glasgow outfit.
He’s been part of four league-winning seasons and has been a real leader inside the dressing room, something that many former managers have spoken about.
At 41, he still appears to be going strong and there’s a likelihood of him calling it a day at the end of the season.
Nobody at Rangers will look to drive him away, but that’s a late age even for keepers to be playing and it remains to be seen if he does continue his career elsewhere.
A lot of players look to go to the MLS while the Middle East has now emerged as a lucrative option so that’s another destination he could potentially consider.
In other Rangers news, another Ibrox exit may be on the cards after a major revelation last week which could force the clubs to part ways with a senior player.
