With the intention of improving their academy, Rangers have offered 16-year-old Manchester City defender Marley Leuluai a trial, according to Football Scotland.
Leuluai has impressed scouts from Rangers and has travelled to Scotland in a bid to win a contract with the Gers.
It was reported by Football Scotland on 29 March, that Man City are not going to offer the youngster his first professional contract, which has allowed the Scottish side to swoop in and offer him a trial.

Leuluai, who made his debut for New Zealand’s Under-17s in January, has impressed Rangers’ academy staff, who are making a conscious effort to improve their academy.
Impressive improvements
Rangers have been signing youngsters for their academy in abundance and will be wanting Leuluai to join their ranks.
The defender is the son of former Rugby League sensation Kylie Keuluai and will be looking to join his dad in sporting success in the UK.
The club have definitely proved they’re working hard on their academy, having signed a number of players who can eventually go up the ranks and play a key part in the first team, and signing Leuluai would be no different.

What could be Manchester City’s loss in years to come, could be a success for the Gers.
The club may find signing the youngster before anyone else could benefit them in the long run, with them sitting second in their respective league.
Leuleui could have a better chance one day playing for Rangers first team than that of Manchester City, and overall, could be a good move for him.
In other Rangers news, Aston Villa are in the hunt to sign this exit-bound Gers player.
