Rangers must listen to BBC pundit and sign Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay

Rangers would certainly benefit from having Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay in their side for next season.

In early March, BBC pundit Paul Parker stated that the Scotland international would be a good signing for Michael Beale’s side.

The 26-year-old has struggled for game time at Old Trafford particularly since Casemiro and Christian Eriksen have joined and with Marcel Sabitzer moving in January as well.

Parker said, “Scott McTominay has to move away from Man United in the summer. He wants to stay in the Premier League but it’s going to be tough for him to find a new club. He is not good enough to play for a top side and the smaller clubs can´t pay his wages.

“I think it could be a possibility for him to go to Rangers. He is not good enough to play for Celtic. There is no way he would be able to play regularly for Celtic in the way they play. He will have a better chance of playing if he moves to Rangers.”

Recently, McTominay made the headlines for his incredible performance for the Scotland national team as they beat Spain 2-0.

Hosting one of the best teams in the world at Hampden Park was always going to be a tough encounter, but the 26-year-old showed he’s the man for the big occasions.

He has always had an engine on him that’s seen him thrive in a box to box role and he made headlines by playing this way as he bagged a brace for Scotland.

If he can do this against some of the best players in the world, he surely can put in a shift at Ibrox and be a John Lundstram upgrade.

Ross Wilson cannot waste time as McTominay is on the radar of other Premier League clubs too and before he says yes to them, Rangers need to swoop him and offer him European football along with a regular first-team role.

In other Rangers news, another Ibrox exit may be on the cards after a major revelation last week which could force the clubs to part ways with a senior player.
