Michael Beale hints what Rangers ‘might need’ in terms of recruitment ahead of summer transfer window
Rangers manager Michael Beale has hinted at what the Gers “might need” in terms of player recruitment in the summer transfer window.
Beale has enjoyed an unbeaten league run since taking over the club, winning 13 and drawing one of his 14 Scottish Premiership matches so far.
But the man in the Ibrox dugout has now revealed that he will analyse “data” and “trends” in order to strengthen his squad this summer.

“Naturally I have been delighted with the majority of the games, to win 17 out of 19 and only lose one, albeit a disappointing one, has shown the progress and has shown that the players have taken on board the ideas,” said Beale, as quoted by the official Rangers website.
“I have heavily been looking at the data from earlier in the season and maybe the whys and why nots of why things weren’t perfect at certain times and been looking at some of the trends that have been in place the last two or three months that have enabled us to go on this run.
“These are the type of winning runs that we need to go on consistently now moving forward, and obviously it is a chance for me to look again towards the recruitment and the future and what we might need.”

Beale looking for more
It is undeniably a strange situation that Beale finds himself in at Rangers, with the manager currently on a very strong unbeaten run since taking over, yet still under pressure.
The boss has faced scrutiny in recent times, primarily when the Gers were defeated by city rivals Celtic in the Scottish League Cup final last month.
But Beale is also under pressure due to the league table situation, with his men currently nine points behind leaders Celtic as the season rapidly draws to a close.
The Scottish Cup is, of course, still to play for, with the two clubs going head to head in the semi-final next month.
There looks certain to be a huge overhaul at Ibrox this summer regardless of how the season finishes, with plenty of incomings and outgoings expected.
Celtic will no doubt also shake things up, but Beale will only want to focus on how he can improve his current squad of players.
In other Rangers news, Jermain Defoe has predicted a “special season” for the club next time out if they stick by Beale.
