Rangers news as embarrassing footage emerges of Craig McPherson v Celtic Women
Rangers have been called upon to take action against Craig McPherson after he was spotted headbutting Celtic Women’s coach Fran Alonso on Monday 27 March.
The women’s Old Firm ended 1-1 in dramatic circumstances, but nothing will compare to the Rangers’ assistant causing mayhem on the pitch after the full-time whistle.
The 4th Official has labelled the footage from Sky Sports as “embarrassing” with many speculating that a long ban or even worst could be on the cards at Ibrox now.

The 4th Official wrote on their official Twitter account that they expect action to be taken from Ibrox after the incident was caught clearly on camera.
“Unprofessional and embarrassing,” he wrote.
“I await to see what action Rangers take for this.”
Wow.
This is simply unbelievable.
Never in a million years should this be condoned at any level of sport, and the club are going to need to take a firm stance on this with an investigation already promised.
What on earth was McPherson thinking? Not only in one of the biggest games of the season for Rangers Women but also when the Sky Sports cameras were in town.
There was no chance he would get away with something as obvious as that, and if that is the message being sent out to younger supporters, what hope do we have?
A public apology will be the minimum here, but with some fans even suggesting it could end in the sack, it would be hard to disagree with that given the clear nature of what happened.
Pressure always runs high in Govan, but there is no excuse for this and you simply cannot behave like this and expect to get away with it – it’s not good enough.
In other Rangers news, another Ibrox exit may be on the cards after a major revelation last week which could force the clubs to part ways with a senior player.
