Pundit issues verdict on Alfredo Morelos Rangers future after image in Everton jersey

Barry Ferguson was baffled at how Alfredo Morelos was playing football in an Everton jersey instead of a Rangers one, given the fact he’s still contracted to them.

As his deal runs out in the summer, Ferguson believes that his exit now looks very likely and that he does not expect him to be at Ibrox beyond June.

The Colombian has been linked with a number of clubs but does not appear close to joining one thus far.

Ferguson told Go Radio: “I got it sent through, one of my mates sent it to me. I think he was just playing football on a public pitch in an Everton strip.

“You’ve got to have a Rangers strip on, why have an Everton strip? I think Morelos will be playing elsewhere in the summer, I don’t think he will be staying at Rangers.”

Can’t do this

Morelos is clearly disrespecting Rangers with this behaviour and Michael Beale really needs to discipline him for this.

He’s surely going to be asked about it after the international break and he must not defend the Colombian as this wasn’t acceptable.

Even if he’s made up his mind to leave, then communicate this to the club and then an official announcement can be made, leaving him to do whatever he wants.

It’s been evident for a while that Morelos’ heart and head are not at Ibrox so it does not make sense to still keep him at Ibrox.

Rangers lost their chance to make money out of him as he’s now set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

They should’ve ideally cashed in during the January window but now they will watch one of their most talented players leave for nothing.

In other Rangers news, another Ibrox exit may be on the cards after a major revelation last week which could force the clubs to part ways with a senior player.
