Nnamdi Ofoborh career could meet ‘sad end’ as behind-the-scenes issues emerge at Rangers – pundit
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Nnamdi Ofoborh’s situation at Rangers is a “messy” one after the forgotten midfielder spoke out about his ongoing issues, according to Tam McManus.
Ofoborh, 23, joined the Gers in 2021 from Bournemouth but has never played a game due to a heart issue that was discovered upon his arrival in Glasgow.
Earlier this month, the midfielder took to Instagram to say the truth “will come out” over what he’s suggested is behind-the-scenes “mistreatment”.

Ofoborh’s heart problems have been kept mainly under wraps but McManus feels as though the ex-Bournemouth player’s career could be seriously effected by the issue.
“It’s a really tricky one to talk about,” McManus told Ibrox News.
“Rangers have made the investment to sign him but he’s come up and not played yet because they’ve found something.
“I’m surprised it wasn’t found in the medical – maybe the medical wasn’t done properly. Usually, stuff like that comes up in a medical if they’re done properly.
“Rangers are now paying a player who’s not playing so they’re not going to be happy and with Ofoborh, his health comes first so the club’s got to look after him.

“It’s a messy situation, to be honest, but I’m sure Rangers are giving him the best care possible. He obviously doesn’t think so.
“It could be a sad end to his career if it doesn’t get sorted out.”
Ofoborh hasn’t played a competitive game since 2021 when he was on loan at Wycombe in the English Championship.
In other Rangers news, this Ibrox coach is being tipped to leave Govan for a “big club in England” as managerial speculation emerges south of the border.
