Kemar Roofe to quit Ibrox for good – Three players who could leave Rangers this summer
This summer promises to be one of the most important in recent memory for Rangers, with Michael Beale’s squad set to undergo major surgery.
There are a number of players who could depart due to their contracts expiring, which could allow the former QPR boss to rip up his squad entirely.
Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent are the two high-profile names who could depart, but here Ibrox News takes a look at three in-contract players who could be destined for pastures new.

Kemar Roofe
Kemar Roofe is a player who has frustrated the Ibrox faithful for far too long. The 30-year-old’s injury problems are now beyond a joke and his time at the club could come to an end. He’s a good goalscorer, there’s no doubting that, but the amount of time he spends on the sidelines means his career at the club has reached an untenable position.
He’s currently out for the season and is contracted to the Gers until the summer of 2024. A new deal seems unlikely, and if an offer arrives this summer, Ross Wilson would be mad to not cash in.

Glen Kamara
The inconsistent midfielder can be unplayable on his day, but we just haven’t seen it enough. His performance against Hearts earlier in the season was sensational, but it’s a rare occurrence. The Scottish Sun claimed (1 September) that Nice were desperate to land the 27-year-old.
He’s contracted to Rangers until 2025 and we wouldn’t be surprised if Beale cashed in on the Finland international this summer. It could allow the Light Blues’ boss to strengthen in other areas.

Jon McLaughlin
Despite being contracted to Rangers until the summer of 2024, there’s a strong chance Jon McLaughlin could be on his way. The 35-year-old has been at fault a number of times this season and unfortunately, Beale will be looking for a trusted number one come the start of the next campaign.
Angus Gunn and James Trafford have been linked with moves to Ibrox and we anticipate a new goalkeeper to be top of Beale’s wishlist.
In other Rangers news, boost for the club as Celtic could be without star attacker for Old Firm clash.
