Alfredo Morelos has already started his final match as a Rangers player with the striker set to leave Ibrox in the summer, according to Tam McManus.

Morelos, 26, is out of contract in the summer and there are no signs that the Colombian will be offered fresh terms bu the Light Blues.

Sevilla have been linked with signing the ex-HJK Helsinki centre-forward [Vamos Mi Sevilla] and since throwing a tantrum when being substituted off in the Viaplay Cup final defeat to Celtic, manager Michael Beale has failed to name him in his starting line-up.

When asked if he sees Morelos starting another game this season, McManus told Ibrox News: “No. No, I don’t.

As long as Antonio Colak’s fit, he’s going to play. He’s Michael Beale’s number nine and is going to be his number nine going forward.

Morelos came off the bench again at the weekend against Motherwell and set up a goal but he’s not going to be there, let’s be honest, he’s not going to be there next season.

Beale will want to focus on players who’ll be there long term – you can’t be playing people who aren’t going to be there in a couple of months’ time.

I don’t think he’ll start again unless Colak gets injured.”

Morelos has played 26 times in the Scottish Premiership this season, starting just 10 of those appearances.

He’s scored nine goals, averaging a goal every 128 minutes.

The Colombia international will leave Ibrox in the summer as the Gers’ all-time highest-goalscorer in Europe, a Europa League finalist and a Scottish Premiership title winner.

In other Rangers news, this Ibrox coach is being tipped to leave Govan for a “big club in England” as managerial speculation emerges south of the border.
