Rangers injury news as Nicolas Raskin checks in for physio work

Rangers star Nicolas Raskin is looking to speed up his recovery from injury after being seen checking himself into a European medical centre to begin physiotherapy.

The Belgium Under-21 star was called up to represent his nation during the upcoming international break for games against the Czech Republic and Japan.

But after missing the 4-2 win over Motherwell on Saturday [18 March], Raskin has now dropped out of the squad with injury and took to his Instagram to announce his withdrawal from international duty.

But now it appears the midfielder is having physiotherapy on his injury as he checks in with a physio that specialises in sports rehabilitation.

Instagram account Physio Move [22 March] posted a picture with Raskin with the caption: “We had the chance to receive Raskin today at the Medsana Center.

“Thank you for the trust. Looking forward to seeing you again for another takeover.”

Boost

Raskin has played plenty of football since coming to Rangers, establishing himself as a key performer in Michael Beale’s midfield in recent weeks.

However, there was an issue previously where Beale admitted the Belgian under-21 international was battling with fatigue.

Rangers

Whether his latest injury is a result of fatigue is another matter entirely but this latest update in regards to him stepping up his recovery is a huge boost for the Light Blues as they face a crucial run of games after the international break.

The playmaker’s elegance, technical quality and composure in midfield fit Beale’s progressive style to a tee and it’s why he’s become such a vital player for the club in so little time.

As the Light Blues chase down Celtic and prepare for a huge semi-final later in April, the Gers will need him absolutely fit and raring to go for the final stretch of the season.
