Alfredo Morelos done at Rangers, Michael Beale must be ruthless and back Antonio Colak
Antonio Colak deserves to keep his Rangers place as Alfredo Morelos is reportedly set to agree on a pre-contract with La Liga outfit Sevilla to seal his Ibrox exit this summer.
Vamos Mi Sevilla reported on 10 March that the Colombian striker has agreed on a pre-contract agreement with the La Liga outfit, as Director of Football Monchi prepares for an economic “war” in taking advantage on players who are out of contract this summer.
It therefore appears that Morelos is set to leave the Ibrox after six eventful years at the Scottish giants.

“Among the options that the sports management would be considering is an opportunity at zero cost, which has already been mentioned in previous transfer windows,” the Vamos Mi Sevilla states.
“This is the Colombian Morelos from Glasgow Rangers, who ends his contract with the Scottish team this summer and would have already committed to the Nervión entity.
“As happened with Federico Gattoni, Monchi would be anticipating other clubs, to take advantage of those players with low cost, given the war economy that awaits the club next summer.”
With his Ibrox contract coming to an end this summer, it’s hardly surprising to see Morelos being linked with a pre-contract agreement to join another club.
The 26-year-old has been left out of the Gers’ last two matchday starting XIs with Rangers coach Beale preferring to start Colak in his place, and the Croatian hitman delivered with two goals from those two games.
Pundit and ex-Gers midfielder Barry Ferguson stated during the week that Morelos’ head is no longer at Rangers and it’s like he’s already halfway out of the door at the club, so these latest reports may suggest why that is the case.
The Cereté-born forward certainly looks like his head is elsewhere at the moment which means Beale must hand starts to Colak moving forward, who has proven when given the opportunity that he’s got what it takes to lead the line at Ibrox.

Colak has enjoyed a superb goalscoring campaign, despite suffering injuries and fitness issues for much of it registering 13 goals from 21 Scottish top-flight games, that’s four more than Morelos’ tally from his 25 outings.
With the Gers set to undergo a stark summer rebuild and Morelos looking like he’s on his way out at Ibrox, Colak certainly deserves the chance to stake his claim in the coming weeks to be Beale’s favoured number nine for the long-term.
In other Rangers news, a pundit with insider information at Ibrox has shared one condition that will make Douglas Park leave the club.
