Chris Sutton takes wild swing at Rangers live on BT Sport after Ally McCoist award win
Chris Sutton has taken yet another wild swing at Rangers while live on BT Sport after being given an Ally McCoist birthday cake on air.
Sutton was left disappointed this week when Rangers hero McCoist pipped him to be awarded the Football Pundit of the Year award at the SJA’s.
And when the BT Sport Score (11 March, 16:03) panel delivered the ex-Celtic man a birthday cake to celebrate his 50th with McCoist’s face plastered all over it, he couldn’t help himself but take a dig at the light blues in the moment.
BT presenter Jules Breach explained the gag, saying;
“That is none other than your good friend Ally McCoist. We did that with good reason Chris, because you were also nominated for pundit of the year but Ally beat you to it,” she said.
But Sutton was quick witted and dragged Rangers into it, quickly responding;
“He did yeah, it’s nice to see someone associated with Rangers win something.”
Pathetic
Let it lie man, just let it lie.
Sutton had a moan about being dug out by Michael Beale for his constant negative comments about the club, and he insisted that he was just giving his opinion on the football team as a pundit.
But this type of comment is what Beale was speaking about when he mentioned Sutton, because it’s constant and he doesn’t seem to understand that he doesn’t actually play for this current Celtic side.

If he did they’d be much worse off.
There’s a time and a place for banter between the two clubs, usually when they’re about to play each other or at least when one of the teams is playing football.
But to bring us up when getting a birthday cake after Celtic had already won their cup game and the day before Rangers even step on the pitch was just weird.
He’s obsessed with us and we can’t wait to shut him up when we face them again next month.
In other Rangers news, a major blow as one first-team ace has been ruled out for the rest of the season with injury.
