Ryan Jack in shop window at Rangers after Michael Beale update as move to English club mooted by pundit
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Ryan Jack put himself in the shop window with a “very good” performance in Rangers’ 4-1 win at Hibernian on Wednesday night, according to Tam McManus.
Jack, 31, ran the show in the middle of the park for the Light Blues while he also assisted Fashion Sakala’s 52nd-minute goal at Easter Road.
However, the injury-prone Scotland international’s contract at Ibrox expires at the end of the season and Michael Beale has already confirmed that there are no new deals currently on the table for anyone who’s reaching the end of their terms [Herald].
McManus believes that Jack’s performance at Easter Road could have been good enough to convince the Gers to offer him a new contract.
And, if not, a club in England could make their move for the former Aberdeen captain.

Speaking to Ibrox News, McManus said: “Jack was very good.
“He’s one of the guys who’s not been offered a new contract yet so he put himself in the shop window at Hibs.
“He’s playing for his future – whether that’s with Rangers or with someone else.
“I’m sure there are people watching him who’d like to pick up an experienced player on a free transfer.
“He ran the game for Rangers against Hibs, if I’m honest.
“He, Nicolas Raskin and Todd Cantwell absolutely dominated.
“As I said, maybe Beale’s still not sure about him being a regular in his team.
“But he showed that he’s not only capable of playing for Rangers but also at a decent level in England.”
Jack joined Rangers on a free transfer from Aberdeen in 2017 and he’s since made 181 appearances in all competitions for the Glasgow club.
In other Rangers news, more issues could emerge in the Ibrox boardroom over a cash injection.
