Alfredo Morelos to quit Rangers after what Michael Beale said in press conference – pundit
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Alfredo Morelos’ time at Rangers is coming to an end after he was left out of the last two starting line-ups, according to Tam McManus.
Morelos, 26, started and scored in the 2-1 Viaplay Cup final defeat to Celtic at Hampden Park on 26 February but he was substituted off not long after his goal and was seen throwing a tantrum on the sidelines.
Michael Beale has since left Morelos out of his last two starting line-ups in the league, opting to start Antonio Colak instead for Scottish Premiership victories over Kilmarnock and Hibernian.

McManus believes Morelos has done a good job at Ibrox but due to his contract ending this summer and the fact that no new terms have been offered [Herald], the Colombia striker is set to leave Ibrox.
“Listen, I don’t think he’s going to be there next season,” McManus told Ibrox News.
“If you’re Michael Beale, you’re looking at the players you want to keep for next season.
“Beale said in a press conference last week that none of the players who are out of contract have been offered a new deal so if you’re out of contract at Rangers at the minute, you’re probably not going to be there next season.

“If you look at the team against Hibs, he didn’t start and only played for the last 10 minutes.
“Beale seems to be sticking with Colak.
“Colak played most of the games against Kilmarnock and Hibs so he seems to be Beale’s recognised number nine at the minute.
“I think Morelos has been a really good servant to Rangers – they only paid £1million for him five or six years ago.
“They’ve got a lot of goals out of him but now is the time for him to move on and I think he will in the summer.”
Since his cut-price move from HJK Helsinki to Ibrox in 2017, Morelos has scored 122 goals in 260 appearances across all competitions.
He’ll leave Ibrox as a history maker by becoming the club’s top goalscorer in European competition, firing the Gers to the Europa League final and winning the Scottish Premiership title in an invincible season.
In other Rangers news, more issues could emerge in the Ibrox boardroom over a cash injection.
