Alfredo Morelos head no longer at Rangers as Michael Beale makes Antonio Colak call – Pundit
Barry Ferguson believes that Alfredo Morelos’ head is no longer at Rangers and it’s like he’s already halfway out of the door at the club.
This comes after Michael Beale has now been playing Antonio Colak as his main striker with the Colombian now on the bench.
The 26-year-old’s contract at Ibrox runs out at the end of the season and he looks no closer to penning an extension with a strong possibility of him leaving for free.

Speaking to Daily Record, Ferguson said, “And it makes me think he [Colak] might be fully fit for the first time since he came to the club. I don’t know if that’s the case or not. Or if Colak is simply flourishing on the work Beale has been doing on him on the training ground.
“But I do know that I like what I see. He was the best player on the pitch on Saturday even though he didn’t get on the scoresheet. And he was outstanding again the other night in a 4-1 win at Hibs.
“It’s almost as if Beale has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged him to prove that he is the striker Rangers need to take the club forward into next season. And with Morelos now back on the bench, it does look like a sign of what the future might hold.
“I had always hoped that the Colombian would settle down, sign a new contract and stay with the club in the long term. When others were screaming to see the back of him, I was always Morelos’ biggest supporter. But it does look to me now as if his head is half way out of the door already and I’m coming to the conclusion that a parting of the ways might be in everyone’s best interest.”
Make the call
It’s time that Rangers make the call and Morelos does not seem keen to stay so it makes no sense to try and convince him.
If he feels that he is better than the club, then it’s best that he leaves and Colak, who’s proven that he can perform well in the SPFL, to be given an extended run in the team.
Gers will surely sign another striker in the summer if Morelos leaves and it’s likely to be someone younger and keen on representing the club.

At times with Morelos, it feels like he’s only playing because he’s on a contract at Ibrox and not because he actually enjoys the job at hand.
Beale surely will not want such players in the dressing room and it’s best if he and the club make an announcement that he will not be staying at the club.
Colak has the right attitude and does seem to be fitter than ever so we cannot wait to see what else he can bring to the table.
In other Rangers news, a pundit with insider information at Ibrox has shared one condition that will make Douglas Park leave the club.
