Rangers send scouts to watch AGF defender Thomas Kristensen, he’s already been to Scotland for visits
Rangers have sent scouts to watch AGF central defender Thomas Kristensen ahead of a potential transfer in the summer, according to The Sun.
The Gers are keen to bolster their squad in the summer as Michael Beale looks to bring down the average age of his squad and strengthen his defensive ranks.
But while scouts have watched Kristensen this season and there have been reports that the 21-year-old has already been to Scotland for visits of the club (BTSporten), the report from The Sun (9 March) claims no formal talks have taken place yet and the fee it would cost to sign him is currently unknown.

“And SunSport understands that the Ibrox men have checked in on AGF since the Danish league got under way again – as part of their Scandinavian scouting,” they wrote.
“It’s not thought any formal talks about the player have taken place.
“Were the Gers to pursue a move, it’s unclear what kind of fee at this stage Kristensen could command.”
Future
Rangers obviously need to bring in new players during the summer, and there are big concerns about the current age of the squad.
Connor Goldson is in his 30’s already, Filip Helander is out of contract at the end of the season, John Souttar’s fitness has been a problem throughout his entire career and Leon King is still young and improving too, while Ben Davies has shone so far this season since Beale returned to the club.

Kristensen is likely to arrive at the club as an option for the future rather than immediately going in to the lineup, but even if a deal wasn’t available immediately to be done he is young enough for the club to keep an eye on.
He’s 6ft 6 and solid in the air, while also being able to play out from the back with the ball at his feet – all things that Beale is a big fan of.
In other Rangers news, a pundit was furious with a “silly” incident in the 4-1 win over Hibernian.
