Rangers fans need to cut Douglas Park some slack as Ibrox boardroom news emerges
Rangers fans may need to cut Douglas Park some slack after The Four Lads Had A Dream shared news of a “huge” financial turnaround at Ibrox.
The official Rangers partner pointed to the fact for the first time in several years the club are without financial warnings in their accounts.
The report claims the £5million Park Motor Group sponsorship is basically giving the club money without it needing to be a repayable loan further down the line.

“Now I have seen various attacks on Douglas Park, ‘When is the last time he ever invested money in Rangers?!’. Just last summer the Park motor Group sponsored Rangers £5m, just to have their name attached to a few things, as far as I can see it’s basically giving us that money without it needing to be a repayable loan,” as quoted by the Four Lads Had A Dream. “For the first time in several years we are no longer faced with financial warnings in the accounts, such is the extent of them being much more healthy. So I can genuinely sit here and point to that as huge for this board and the overall financial picture is extremely strong.”

Impasse.
The mood around Ibrox at the moment isn’t the greatest and a lot of this has to do with fans’ concern over how Rangers is being run from the very top.
And their angst is valid, the Rangers board which includes Park has communicated terribly with the fans and swept issues under the carpet to no avail.
Yet, Four Lads do have a bit of a point here, financially, the club are leaps and bounds ahead from the woeful scenes of yesteryear and things are far brighter on that point.
An “extremely strong” financial picture will only help the club in the long run and should mean the team can invest in new players and glossy transfers come the summer, something the Light Blues faithful craves.
By no means does this been Park is completely let off the hook, however, credit where credit is due and this may be one of those times to cut the chairman some slack.
In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson and Stewart Robertson have nowhere to hide now that their human shield has faltered.
