Malik Tillman out of Rangers clash v Hibernian, no fresh injury news – Michael Beale

Rangers will be without Malik Tillman for their clash with Hibernian on Wednesday (8 March), but have no fresh injury worries according to Michael Beale.

The American playmaker missed the weekend win over Kilmarnock and has now been ruled out of the midweek game too, while Tom Lawrence and Kemar Roofe are also out with long term injuries.

But there are no fresh injury concerns at the club after the weekend, meaning Beale has plenty of options to choose from for what will be a tough away game at Easter Road.

John Souttar made his long-awaited return from injury as an injury-time substitute at the weekend which should now see him back in contention, although a start is unlikely at this stage.

Finally

It’s nice to have injured players making their return and not having other players miss out on the opposite hand.

Tillman’s absence was expected for this game, with the eyes looking at the Scottish Cup game against Raith Rovers at the weekend for his return.

Rangers

With Roofe and Lawrence long-term absentees, the squad now looks quite set for the foreseeable and is more than strong enough with the right decisions being made to put together another strong run.

Pressure is obviously on winning the cup after bottling to Celtic at Hampden Park and already being so far behind in the title race.

But games like this are difficult when motivation is low, and the manager must ensure that standards are not allowed to slip just in case Celtic do hit a spot of turmoil, as we have to be there to make them pay if they do.

The team picks itself right now, and Beale has no excuses not to go strong and ensure we get a result.
