Rangers official partner blown away by Todd Cantwell display v Kilmarnock

Heart and Hand, the official media partners for Rangers were thrilled with Todd Cantwell’s performance in the win against Kilmarnock.

Gers won the game at Ibrox by a 3-1 scoreline on Saturday, 4 March, at Ibrox and Cantwell played a key role in helping them get the three points.

He did not get his name on the scoresheet but was involved heavily as the stats below highlight.

Via Twitter, Heart and Hand wrote, “Thought he was excellent. Takes up intelligent positions but works really hard and also good at recovering the ball, which I didn’t realise about him.”

Impressive numbers

These statistics make for extremely good reading and it proves that Michael Beale was right to bring him to the club.

He had 98 touches all game which shows he was busy and in many ways he was the go to man in attack as he was the one making things happen.

Taking the ball away from him was nigh on impossible, with him completing all five dribbles he attempted and he’s a perfect player on the transition.

Rangers

He also made 12 recoveries and that’s a testament to the work he puts in off the ball as well and Rangers are grateful for signing him.

It’s a real surprise why he didn’t start against Celtic as he would’ve been a tremendous asset to have, especially given how Celtic took charge of proceedings.

We’re hoping he can rekindle the kind of form he showed in the Premier League which saw clubs like Liverpool show an interest in him.
