Rangers midfielder Alex Lowry now ruled out until April as Michael Beale shares injury news

Rangers midfielder Alex Lowry will miss another four weeks of action which means that he’s not expected to return before April.

After the 3-1 win against Kilmarnock, Michael Beale confirmed that he is still some time away from making his comeback.

The 19-year-old had suffered an injury and left in a protective boot, but he’s now out of the said equipment but still will miss some more games with Kemar Roofe and Malik Tillman also out injured.

Via Twitter, Heart and Hand relayed Beale’s comments and wrote, “MB also updated on Alex Lowry – out for another four weeks.”

Too many injuries

Rangers are having some rotten luck with injuries as a number of their players are suffering setbacks despite appearing close to returns.

Roofe is the classic example of it and he’s had a torrid time with different injury issues since he moved to the club.

It’s interesting to ponder whether the blame lies on the medical team at Ibrox as this has been happening too frequently and doesn’t happen that much at other clubs.

Rangers

Lowry is one who’s tipped for a bright future and it’s hard to see him suffering these issues so early in his career.

He’s still only a teenager and the best thing for him will be to play as many games as possible at whatever level as that’s only going to make him better.

Hopefully, after April, he doesn’t suffer any major setbacks when he’s back in April and Beale will surely be looking to give him more game time in the 2023/24 campaign.
