BBC pundit wants four Rangers players axed for them to challenge for title
Cammy Bell believes that up to seven Rangers players can be gone if they are to appear as realistic title contenders while four shouldn’t be starters.
The BBC pundit does not see Allan McGregor being there next season and feels the same way about Alfredo Morelos.
He also does not see Borna Barisic, Glen Kamara, John Lundstram and Fashion Sakala being regular starters in a title-winning squad while has addressed doubts over Malik Tillman’s future.

He told GO Radio: “In that starting team I wouldn’t expect there to be more than four players still in the starting team next season. I look at Allan McGregor, and he is probably going to finish.
“James Tavernier will still be in the starting XI, and Connor Goldson. Ben Davies I don’t think so, and Borna Barisic there is always questions marks on big occasions over him, so that is a bit question mark.
“Tillman, is he going to be there? I don’t know. Lundstram, I don’t think he would be a starting player for a Rangers team that is going to win the league. Same with Kamara.
“Morelos, we don’t know what is happening with him. Sakala, again for me, not a starter. Ryan Kent; I would keep him as a starter if we could.”
Major surgery needed
This Rangers side is not good enough to challenge for the league and the sooner the hierarchy accepts that, the better it will be for them.
Sacking managers for underperforming is one thing but they need to look inward and see how badly they’ve been running the club.
Bell is right, the likes of Barisic, Kamara, Davies and Lundstram are not good enough to be regular starters for the club and will only be decent depth options.

Morelos clearly does not have his heart at Rangers and it’s best that he’s let go at the end of the season.
Kent is one player Rangers would hate to lose and it’s time for Beale to intervene and ask for definitive answers.
Interest in him isn’t going to go down and he could be waiting to see the calibre of clubs keen on him before deciding on his future.
In other Rangers news, the club are in line for a multi-million windfall from the Premier League after a £10m Auchenhowie milestone was reached.
