Jim White questions ‘soul searching’ Rangers after Viaplay Cup loss v Celtic
Jim White believes Rangers will be doing a lot of “soul searching” after the disappointing Viaplay Cup final loss to Celtic on Sunday 26 February.
Speaking on the White and Jordan TalkSPORT show (27 February) the pundit questioned whether Rangers are good enough to challenge Celtic at the moment.
Rangers simply didn’t turn up on the day at Hampden and looked a level below their bitter rivals in every department on the pitch.

“For the Rangers players there has got to be a lot of soul searching,” said White live on TalkSPORT. (27 February)
“Are they good enough to challenge Celtic? Maybe not.”

Terrible.
For all the hype and hope going into the Viaplay Cup final at Hampden, Rangers produced one of their stinkiest performances of the season so far.
You wouldn’t have thought the team were playing for their first chance at silverware this season and no player in a Light Blues shirt seemed up for the challenge.
Celtic are no doubt a terrific side and Ange Postecoglou has unfortunately taken them to a level that is above and beyond the Gers for now.
However, if anything positive is to come out of that dier outing, it’s the obvious need for Rangers to invest in new and fresh talents in the summer months.
This is simply essential for Beale and co to compete against this very decent Celtic squad, one that has multiple weapons in its arsenal to choose from.
Yesterday’s game was a bit of a wake-up call for the Ibrox faithful, things had been going pretty smoothly for Beale but there is still plenty of work to be done.
In other Rangers news, another Rangers star was called out for a “big mistake” in the cup final defeat to Celtic.
