Rangers: Simon Jordan brands Michael Beale ‘ridiculous’ after defeat v Celtic
TalkSPORT co-host Simon Jordan has branded Rangers boss Michael Beale as “ridiculous” for his spat with Chris Sutton in recent weeks.
Jordan labelled Beale as a “mixed bag” and confessed that Rangers aren’t good enough in the dugout right now to compete with Celtic and Ange Postecoglou.
Rangers fell to a 2-1 defeat to Celtic at Hampden on Sunday afternoon in the Viaplay Cup final clash handing Beale his first loss since he took over the reigns at Ibrox.

“He’s a mixed bag isn’t he, you know he’s got this running feud going on with Chris Sutton which I think is ridiculous,” said Jordan live on TalkSPORT. (27 February)
“Rangers aren’t good enough, I don’t think they are good enough in the dugout right now to compete with Ange Postecoglou and I don’t think they are good enough on the pitch.”

Work to be done.
It was a crushing and damning loss to Celtic on Sunday afternoon and the performance and gulf in class were arguably more disappointing than the actual result.
Beale’s first loss as Rangers boss was a huge one and there is a lot of work to be done at Ibrox to get the Gers competing with Celtic on all cylinders.
Defensive errors and lacklustre marking plagued Rangers at Hampden on Sunday afternoon and the occasion got to Beale’s outfit massively.
Things got slightly better after Alfredo Morelos’ goal but that kind of effort was needed from the outset, not in the dying minutes of the clash.
The loss again points to transfers needing to be made this summer, something which has been the case for a while now and a concern of fans who are eager to see the Light Blues progress.
Splashing the cash is the only way to compete and keep up with Postecoglou’s side, nevertheless, fans know that Rangers’ tight-stringed pursed owners may have other ideas.
In other Rangers news, the club have pulled of a major transfer coup with a deal already signed for a player who was interesting two English giants.
