Celtic fan leaves Robbie Savage in hysterics after Rangers tirade
Robbie Savage was left in hysterics after a Celtic fan launched into Michael Beale and Rangers live on BBC 5 Live Sport.
Two goals from Kyogo Furuhashi saw the Bhoys to their 21st League Cup triumph and prevent Michael Beale from sealing his first trophy as Rangers’ manager.
One Celtic fan felt the need to launch a tirade on Beale after the game, which left Savage and fellow present Chris Sutton holding back the laughs.
“Shut your mouth Michael, shut your mouth. You were the worst team on the park today, it wasn’t even a game. Celtic trounced them,” said the fan (BBC 5 Live Sport, 26 February).
Day to forget
Losing in a cup final is always a bitter pill to swallow – and it is made far worse when Celtic are the team who triumphs at Rangers’ expense. We all know Ange Postecoglou’s side are ahead of the Light Blues at present, but the defeat at Hampden Park was a stark reminder of the gap between the two sides.
However, with Beale in charge and some exciting new additions now at Ibrox, that gap should now close. Nicolas Raskin and Todd Cantwell have both now experienced their first Old Firm clash and will now be ready to start when the Gers next face off against their fierce rivals.

They could face Celtic another three times before the season ends.
There are still plenty of points to play for and a couple of league wins over their fierce rivals could see the tide turn. However, they will need to up their performance levels significantly. Postecoglou’s side were impressive, but they were aided by Rangers simply not being at the races.
In other Rangers news, the club are in line for a multi-million windfall from the Premier League after a £10m Auchenhowie milestone was reached.
