Rangers images shared from Ibrox as Joshua Gentles signs first contract

Joshua Gentles has shared images on his Twitter after signing his first professional contract with Rangers after impressing with the U16s at the club.

Gentles has been at Rangers since the age of eight joining the Ibrox faithful after spending 18 months at Scottish Premiership side St Mirren.

Speaking to The Athletic (16 February), Gentles revealed that he takes inspiration from Rangers ace Malik Tillman in the way he plays the beautiful game.

“I like the way (Malik) Tillman plays so I try to mirror his game in how he goes past players as I’ve got decent feet and an eye for goal,” he says as quoted by The Athletic. (16 February)

There are far worse players to mould your game around and hopefully, Gentles will get to see much more of Tillman in the coming years at Ibrox.

Talented family.

Joshua isn’t the only Gentles trying to make his way at Ibrox with the forward’s younger brother Leo also playing at the club in a younger age group.

The 11-year-old has netted 130 goals in his first season at Ibrox and is well on his way to following his older brother in securing a professional contract with Rangers.

Who knows, the brotherly duo could one day be lining up together in the famous Light Blues shirt, something that would be an astonishing sight to see.

Nevertheless, there is a long road ahead for both Joshua and Leo if they are to make it at Rangers with the cruel and harsh modern game never being harder to crack.

The hard work, however, begins for Joshua right now and the starlet couldn’t be in a better position to make his dreams come true at Ibrox.

Lewis Stewart, Cammy Scott and Connor Campbell also committed their futures to Rangers by signing their first professional contracts alongside Gentles.
