Tam McManus shares ‘better manager’ verdict ahead of Rangers Viaplay Cup final clash v Celtic
Tam McManus has claimed Ange Postecoglou is a “better manager” than Michael Beale ahead of Rangers’ ViaPlay Cup final clash against Celtic.
The Light Blues head to Hampden Park looking to secure Beale the first piece of silverware of his short managerial career.
However, McManus believes The Hoops are the favourites for the clash at the national stadium due to their superior manager and squad.

“I still think Celtic are favourites. They have got a better manager and a better squad,” said McManus (PLZ Football Show, 20m 40s, 22 February).
“In a cup final, anything can happen. If Rangers turn up and play well on the day then anything can happen. I don’t think there’s a massive gap between the two teams.”
Anything is possible
In a cup final anything is possible and the Gers could cause Celtic all sorts of problems on Sunday. They showed at the start of January that they’re more than capable of causing their fierce rivals issues and they could well repeat the trick at Hampden Park. Beale knows this Celtic team are beatable and if his team performs to their recent levels they stand a good chance.

It will be intriguing to see how the Light Blues line up on Sunday afternoon. New signings Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin could well be given their first taste of the Old Firm. Both players clearly have the ability to make an impact against Postecoglou’s men, but the question is whether they can handle the occasion.
The Old Firm Derby is unique and neither player would’ve experienced anything quite like it in their careers to date. It would not be a surprise to see the Light Blues boss go for tried and tested options instead of his January additions.
