Sky Sports pundit predicts result of Rangers v Celtic in Viaplay Cup final
Andy Walker expects Rangers v Celtic to be a close encounter when the two sides meet each other in the Viaplay Cup final on Sunday.
However, when pressed on picking a side, Walker has gone for the SPFL leaders to edge it despite Gers being unbeaten under Michael Beale.
The only sides they have dropped is when they drew against Celtic after the winter break.

Walker told Sky Sports, as quoted by the Daily Record, “It’s going to be a terrific contest. It’s always fascinating and compelling when Celtic and Rangers go together, especially now when Michael Beale has come in and I don’t think he can do much more than what he has done up until now. He is unbeaten and has only dropped a couple of points in the league and that was against Celtic.
“I think we will learn a lot at the weekend. I think it will be a tight contest but I think Celtic are favourites. If you have Celtic in their best form and put them against Rangers in their best form I think Celtic have better players, and I think they would win.
“The game at Ibrox was a great contest. Celtic started really well but Rangers’ response was really good. It did take them a bit of time to start, but I think at Hampden with it being 50/50 (the crowd) I don’t think it will faze Celtic at all.”
Need the win
Beale’s got this Rangers side performing to its best and we cannot wait to see this intriguing battle against the league leaders.
Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent, despite their futures being up in the air, have been performing exceptionally well under Beale.
Antonio Colak was once leading the goal-scoring charts in the league and he’s now playing second fiddle to the Colombian which is healthy competition to have.

The new signings appear to be gelling well and we’re counting on Todd Cantwell to step up in the absence of Malik Tillam in the Old Firm.
A win here will give Beale his first trophy and also give the Gers momentum as they’re surely going to be pushing for the league.
They do face Celtic again but will need other teams to do them favours while also ensuring that they do not drop any points on the way.
In other Rangers news, the club are in line for a multi-million windfall from the Premier League after a £10m Auchenhowie milestone was reached.
