Fashion Sakala makes ‘other mob’ jibe at Celtic ahead of Rangers ViaPlay Cup final
Fashion Sakala has referred to Celtic as the “other mob” ahead of Rangers’ ViaPlay Cup final showdown on Sunday afternoon at Hampden Park.
The Zambian has been in sensational form since Michael Beale returned to Ibrox and has been a consistent starter for the Light Blues under the former QPR boss.
Talking in his press conference before Sunday’s Old Firm clash, the 25-year-old refused to name Celtic when discussing the Gers’ opponents.
“Obviously I know how important the game is when you play against the other mob,” said Sakala live on Sky Sports News on Wednesday (Bryan R Fotheringham personal Twitter, 22 February).
Mouthwatering
The clash at Hampden Park on Sunday is shaping up to be a mouthwatering clash between the two sides. Both are in sensational form and last dropped points when they both faced off at the start of January. Celtic probably head to the national stadium as slim favourites.
Ange Postecoglou’s men are a formidable winning machine who have been under the stewardship of the Australian for longer. This match also has big implications for the remainder of the season. If Rangers can come away with a victory, The Hoops will know their fierce rivals are more than capable of beating them in their remaining Scottish Premiership clashes.

It will be intriguing to see if Beale starts Todd Cantwell or Nicolas Raskin on Sunday. Both players have shown their worth since arriving at Ibrox, but as we all know an Old Firm fixture is unlike no other. Cantwell starting in an attacking role is potentially more likely than Raskin being given the nod in the centre of the park.
