Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack unlikely to be risked in Viaplay Cup final v Celtic due to injury
Ryan Jack is unlikely to be risked in the Viaplay Cup final clash between Rangers and Celtic on Sunday at Hampden, according to the Daily Record.
The Scotland international missed the weekend victory over Livingston with a calf problem, as Michael Beale sweats over his midfield options for the big Old Firm clash that is next up.
But according to a report by the Daily Record, Jack is unlikely to be rushed back for the game and his calf problem means he could miss the game entirely.

“Ryan Jack has been suffering with a calf problem and may not be risked but there’s always hope for the Scotland international,” they wrote (20 February).
Blow
Jack has found a good rhythm and solid bit of form since Beale came back to Ibrox, after a tough first half of the season where he struggled with injury.
He has shown his importance to the side with his ability to break up play and put some bite into a tackle, but his fitness has constantly been an issue throughout of his career.

It seems likely now that it will cost him a spot in the starting line up at Hampden at the very least, but Beale could look to throw him on the bench as an option just in case we need to shore up the side late on.
It’s a boost for the likes of Glen Kamara and Nicolas Raskin however, with John Lundstram expected to return from injury for the game and that does still give the boss a decision to make.
But losing Jack for the game would be a big blow because of what he offers to the side, and fans will be hopeful that is fit for a place in the squad in one way or another.
