Rangers confirm starting XI for clash v Livingston

Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for their Scottish Premiership clash against Livingston on Saturday 18 February with four changes made from their last league encounter.

Michael Beale has brought back in Connor Goldson, Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Fashion Sakala after that Scottish Cup clash with Partick Thistle.

As confirmed on Twitter [18 February] prior to kick-off, Beale has been forced to ring the changes for this crucial crunch clash, with Malik Tillman one of those to be axed.

Big test

The Gers will be looking to keep up their superb unbeaten record under Beale, winning 12 of their 13 matches under his stewardship and drawing the other, however it won’t be an easy test against Livingston.

The Livi Lions have undergone a tremendous campaign in the Scottish Premiership this season, currently sitting in fourth in the table and winning four out of their last five games.

This isn’t a game the Gers can afford to lose either as they seek to keep the pressure on their rampaging rivals Celtic who they meet in eight days’ time for a potentially engrossing ViaPlay Cup final encounter.

Rangers will need all the confidence and boost in morale they need heading into next weekend, and the perfect way to do this will be to overcome a testing Livingston side who will certainly be up for claiming a huge scalp on Rangers and ending their impressive unbeaten run.

In other Rangers news, the club are in line for a multi-million windfall from the Premier League after a £10m Auchenhowie milestone was reached.
