Rangers forward Ianis Hagi shares what he has been told as he looks to make up for lost time
Rangers forward Ianis Hagi is looking to make up for the lost time after he returned recently from his year-long injury nightmare.
The Romanian international said that he has been told to manage himself which he finds “hard to accept” sometimes.
It has been a “tough year” for him and he is still in the process of getting back to his best shape. He played 45 minutes in Sunday’s Scottish Cup victory over Partick Thistle, which was his second appearance after his return from injury.

“I feel good. For me, every day that I feel healthy, I feel happy,” said Hagi, as quoted by STV News.
“It’s been a tough year. I’m still in the process of getting back to what I was before so just building up minutes and hopefully more minutes as the games go on. Being healthy throughout the week is my main focus.
“I’m a guy who always pushes 100% in training and games. I’m told that I have to manage myself sometimes and it’s hard to accept that, but it’s the process. I’ve understood this and I have to get along with it.”
Big boost
The 24-year-old is a fantastic player and he can play a big role under Michael Beale this season and going forward.
Having been out for so long, it is important for the club to take great care of the player. Beale will want to integrate him into the side gradually, and Hagi needs to take it slowly.
We have often seen that players tend to pick up freakish injuries after a serious injury like this, and that’s why it is important for the club to use him properly.
Hagi will be getting more minutes going forward and hopefully, towards the end of the season, he should be in a position to start games regularly.

Rangers face a tough trip to play David Martindale’s Livingston side in West Lothian, and Hagi can expect to get some minutes. However, Beale probably won’t use him for the high-octane cup final on Sunday against Celtic.
The Bears signed Todd Cantwell in the January transfer window from Norwich City and they have loads of options in their attacking midfield department. The squad will become even better when Hagi will start to play regularly.
