Rangers signing Malik Tillman permanently for £5m will be a snip – Tam McManus
Malik Tillman could be a bargain signing for Rangers at £5m in the summer transfer window, according to Tam McManus.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Gers in the summer on loan from Bayern Munich and the Bears have the option to sign him permanently in the summer.
While £5m is a big money for clubs like Rangers, McManus, while speaking to PLZ Soccer, says that if he continues his impressive form until the end of the season, the clamour to sign him permanently will grow.

“I think over the last couple of weeks since I’ve seen him under Michael Beale in particular I think yes, you can see why it’s £5million,” said McManus on PLZ Soccer.
“I think if he keeps that level of form up to the end of the season you know he’s obviously got a big cup final come up against Celtic.
“If he produces in that I think there will be a big clamour in the Rangers fans to sign him up permanently. He’s 20 years old, I think if you can get consistent performances out of him and improve him – I think that £5 million could be a snip.”
Terrific talent
The USA international has been in brilliant form recently, and McManus is spot on that he has looked a different class under Beale.
When he first joined the club, there were games where he looked unstoppable, but he was very inconsistent under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
In the last few games, he is been playing at a top level. The best part about his development is that he is being given freedom by Beale, and now he is making direct contributions, in terms of goals and assists.

While Bayern are yet to make a decision on his future, the Gers can trigger their £5m option for a permanent deal if the German giants decide to sell him.
Tillman has made 37 appearances for Rangers and scored nine goals already. On top of that, he has provided five assists in all competitions.
Signing him permanently is a no-brainer, and it could represent a bargain deal for the club in the long run.
