Rangers transfer news as deal now on cards for Darius Olaru in summer
Rangers could be set to seal a deal for FCSB midfielder Darius Olaru in the summer with officials sent to Romania to complete a transfer, according to ProSport.
The report claims that Olaru would cost the Light Blues somewhere in the region of £5.3m-£7m, a solid fee for the maestro who is highly rated in his home country.
Prosport confessed that the “spectacular” transfer is very much on the cards with the Gers intensifying their interest in the box-to-box ace.

“The transfer of Darius Olaru to Rangers no longer seems like a chimera,” as quoted by ProSport. (12 February)
“According to ProSport sources, the Scots will come to Romania in the next period, and the transaction would be signed in the summer.
“According to ProSport information, Rangers have a well-established plan: they will watch Olaru in the playoffs, in at least two matches, and if the scouts’ reports confirm the information gathered so far, they will start negotiations for the summer transfer of our international.
“Gigi Becali would like an amount between 6 and 8 million euros, but the British apparently do not want to pay more than the lower limit of the Romanian landowner’s claims.”

Realistic transfer.
A move for the Romanian seems to be on this summer and the Gers could do far worse in the market than the 24-year-old midfielder.
Beale evidently wants to change the Rangers engine room up as he has demonstrated with the January signings of Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin.
Ryan Jack, Scott Arfield and Steven Davis are all out of contract this summer and leaving the stale Rangers midfield with some gaps to fill.
Therefore it makes sense for Beale to try and bring in another maestro to his ranks, one who is still fairly young and can provide a more dynamic spark than the talents listed above.
Olaru captains FCSB too and his leadership qualities alongside his terrific form are likely what has caught Beale and Rangers’ eye in recent months.
The midfielder is out of contract in the summer of 2024 which may leave the door wide open for Rangers to make a move with FCSB looking to cash in on their prized asset.
