£3m update emerges in Rangers hunt to sign Norwich goalkeeper Angus Gunn
Norwich goalkeeper Angus Gunn has a market value of £3million as Rangers eye the 27-year-old, according to The US Sun.
The former England under-21 international is being watched by the Gers as Michael Beale sets his sights on a new long-term number one (US Sun, 12 February).
Rangers’ chief Ross Wilson knows the Norwich keeper from his time at Southampton and it’s understood he could look to move for the keeper who has recently fallen out of favour at Carrow Road.

Priority
A new keeper coming through the door at Ibrox will be Beale’s number-one priority come the summer window. Allan McGregor will finally call it a day on his playing career and Jon McLaughlin hasn’t convinced anyone of his ability to be number one.
A younger keeper, like Gunn, could well be the route for the Light Blues’ boss to go down. Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford has also been linked with a move north of the border (Daily Mail, 30 December). The 21-year-old is nearly half McGregor’s age and could prove to be an astute pickup if a move is possible.

The veteran keeper’s decision to keep playing has meant Rangers’ goalkeeping issue has dwindled on for yet another year. Giovanni van Bronckhorst neglected the chance to deal with the matter in the summer of 2022 and it’s now been left to Beale to pick up the pieces.
Nevertheless, it’s good to see multiple keepers linked to the Gers ahead of the summer window opening – it promises to be another busy transfer window for the Light Blues’ boss.
