Bayern Munich fan club for Malik Tillman as Rangers eye permanent transfer
Bayern Munich youth team manager Danny Galm has highlighted how Rangers star Malik Tillman could follow in the footsteps of Philipp Lahm, Toni Kroos and David Alaba.
The report from the Daily Record (11 February) claims that Rangers are keen to land the USA international on a permanent deal once the season concludes.
Nevertheless, Bayern youth manager Galm has hinted that Tillman is still highly thought of by his parent club, something which may halt a move to Ibrox from happening.

“Hopeful Bayern Munich remain full of belief over Malik Tillman’s talents with Rangers keen to land the USA international on a permanent deal,” as quoted by the Daily Record. (11 February)
“Tillman has enjoyed an excellent season with Rangers since joining from the Bundesliga giants on loan last summer. Rangers have first option on him for a £5million deal if Bayern decides to sell him. Bayern are keeping close tabs on the 20-year-old’s progress in Scotland and their youth team manager, Danny Galm, has hinted they see Tillman as a future first-team player.
“Look at Philipp Lahm – we sent him to Stuttgart, David Alaba went to Hoffenheim, or Toni Kroos, who was loaned to Bayer Leverkusen. They all played at a top level before returning to us. We currently have a few loan players like that. Malik Tillman at Rangers for example or Gabriel Vidovic at Vitesse Arnhem and Bright Arrey-Mbi at Hannover. They could all follow a similar path.
“We can certainly point to success going down that route. All the guys are very talented, have their qualities and sporting abilities.”

Fingers crossed.
Okay, things are starting to look slightly sketchy in the Gers’ pursuit of Tillman and there are plenty of reasons why Bayern would choose to bring him back to the club.
Having the first opportunity to buy him does help matters, however, and it would be a real steal for the Light Blues at only £5million.
Tillman has been a revelation under Beale and looks like he can progress into an even better talent under the guidance of the Englishman over the coming seasons.
Rangers may be saved by the fact that it would be extremely difficult for Tillman to break into the Bayern side and guaranteed playing time may be the bargaining tool for Beale and co.
It’s more than likely that Tillman is a huge part of Beale’s plans moving forward and losing him after a breakout season in Scotland would be a real shame.
At only 20 years old there is a feeling around Ibrox that Tillman still has plenty more to give, with luck, fans will be able to witness this in a Light Blues shirt.
In other Rangers news, the Ibrox bank is set for a cash boost after a document emerged on Wednesday.
