Michael Beale shares Rangers team news update ahead of Scottish Cup clash v Partick Thistle

Michael Beale has confirmed Rangers will be without four players for their Scottish Cup clash against Partick Thistle at Ibrox.

Ridvan Yilmaz is not expected back for another three weeks, with Tom Lawrence and John Souttar both long-term absentees (Hand and Heart Podcast, 10 February).

Beale has also confirmed that John Lundstram will miss the fixture at Ibrox, but is expected to be fit for the Scottish Premiership clash against Livingston.

Professional

Rangers must ensure they turn up and get the job done against Partick on Sunday (12 February). The visitors are currently fourth in the Scottish Championship and will be relishing the opportunity to try and take a huge scalp at Ibrox.

Rangers’ fans will be desperate to get a look at Nicolas Raskin, with the Belgium under-21 international in the frame to make his full debut after seeing some minutes in the win over Ross County. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Beale shuffle the pack, with Fashion Sakala potentially being rested.

Rangers

The Zambian has been an ever-present for the Gers since Beale’s arrival and could be replaced by Ianis Hagi, who is currently regaining full fitness after his long injury layoff. Alfredo Morelos could also be given a rest after being heavily involved in recent weeks.

Antonio Colak certainly needs some minutes and could do with a goal after his fine start to the 2022/23 season.
