Fenerbache holds ‘very strong hand’ in signing Rangers out-of-contract star Alfredo Morelos this summer
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is on a list of alternative striker targets for Fenerbache this summer, and his contract situation has given the Turkish giants a “very strong hand”, according to Bilimhaber.
The Colombian hitman, 26, has revived his Ibrox career under Michael Beale, scoring six Scottish Premiership goals in 10 games since the Englishman was hired to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst in November.
However, Morelos’ contract remains set to expire at the end of the season and speculation this week has since linked the Colombia international with a “big-money” Turkish deadline day move to Konyaspor [Scottish Sun] which he rejected.

It’s understood that he’s considering signing a new deal at Ibrox after regaining his form under Michael Beale.
However, with the ink still yet to run on the dotted line, the rumours and interest certainly won’t be going away. And according to the Turkish outlet Bilimhaber [8 February], Fenerbahce are on the case of Morelos again, having been named on their shortlist for a January move, according to reports [16 November] last year.
The report goes on to state that the Turkish giants will feel they have a “very strong hand” in negotiation for his services as he is out of contract at the Ibrox this summer.
Must Keep
Considering the impact and form the Colombian has shown since Beale was appointed in November, the Gers would be absolutely crazy to let him go, especially on a free transfer.
At 26 years of age and entering the prime years of his career, it is imperative the Light Blues tie him down to a new deal, as he could continue to prove pivotal to Beale’s plans of toppling Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title beyond this campaign.

This is a player at the top of his game right now, and considering the position he is in currently in his career, he’ll definitely want some assurances and security.
Rangers cannot afford to leave this one too late, as the interest from top clubs around the continent won’t rest until they secure his immediate future at the Ibrox.
Clubs like Fenerbahce do have a strong hand is signing him, and the Gers cannot allow top clubs in Europe a strong position or hand when it comes to their top stars if they want to become a top European side themselves. Morelos is a must-keep.
