Rangers ace John Lundstram to return sooner than fans expected after recent injury blow

Rangers midfielder John Lundstram is reportedly expected to return sooner than fans expected after his recent injury scare.

The 28-year-old twisted his ankle against Ross County on Saturday and was subbed off after just 10 minutes for Malik Tillman.

However, it’s understood that the damage is not too bad and is better than first feared which means he’s set for a quick-fire return to the first team. [The Scottish Sun]

Lundtsram is an important player who is very essential in finding space and controlling the tempo of the game.

There was some scepticism when he was first brought in after his Sheffield United spell but it’s fair to say that the Ibrox faithful already admire the talent that he is.

Michael Beale too will have been impressed by his performances since he took over and he’s quickly become one of the first names on his team sheet.

With the title still within reach, Gers will want all their players fit and available for the majority of the games.

Hopefully, Lundstram is back within days and continues to perform at the high level that he’s been all season.

Regarding Tillman, the one who replaced him on the weekend, it remains to be seen whether they do sign him up permanently in the summer as he certainly will be a very good option not just for the present but also for the future.

In other Rangers news, the club have been handed a potential transfer boost as a World Cup striker linked with an Ibrox switch is likely to be available in the summer.
