Rangers confirm starting XI for Scottish Premiership clash v Ross County
Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for their Scottish Premiership clash against Ross County on Saturday 4 February with three changes made.
Michael Beale decided to make three changes to his starting XI with the likes of Ryan Jack, Jon McLaughlin and Todd Cantwell coming into the team to face the Staggies.
As confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Beale decided against also handing a debut start to January signing Nicolas Raskin who will be looking to get off to a lively start if given the chance to.
Taking shape.
Beale’s Rangers side is slowly but surely taking shape and fans are starting to get an idea of the team and atmosphere he wants to create at Ibrox.
Todd Cantwell and Raskin are decent signings and even though the Ibrox faithful craved more from the January window, it could have been a lot worse.
Both could provide a long-term impact on the squad, something Beale wants from future acquisitions rather than short-term loan deals.
It did, however, take too long to make these signings happen last month and this is a problem that needs to be addressed in the summer months.
Nevertheless, the problem of having midfielders who have verticality in and out of possession seems to have been addressed and this is a positive moving forward.
Dynamism and being able to run forward with the ball at will is something this Rangers team has lacked in their engine room, hopefully, Raskin and Cantwell can provide this in abundance.
