Michael Beale shares John Lundstram injury update after Rangers win v Ross County
Michael Beale says John Lundstram should be fine despite being forced off injured during Rangers 2-1 win over Ross County on Saturday, 4 February.
Lundstram went down with an injury early on and was substituted after receiving treatment, with Malik Tillman coming on in his place and eventually opening the scoring at the end of the first-half.
After Rangers picked up all three points to make it 11 wins from 12 games with Beale as boss, he revealed in his post-match press conference that he expected the former Sheffield United midfielder to be fine despite coming off.
According to official club partner Heart & Hand podcast (4 February), Beale indicated that Lundstram “should be fine after coming off early.”
Rangers don’t have another fixture until February 12th in the cup against Partick Thistle, so he should have lots of time to recover.

Having got Ryan Jack and Glen Kamara performing again since he returned to the club, and then adding Nicolas Raskin to the fold too, Rangers finally have midfield options.
Losing Lundstram would still have been a huge blow however, because he is incredibly consistent and has the tenacity and box-to-box abilities of nobody else in the squad.
There is no doubting that Lundstram is the first midfield name on the team sheet at Ibrox these days, and just because we have alternatives doesn’t mean we’re better off without him.
It looked as though it was a hamstring problem when he came off, but with Beale saying that he should be fine fans don’t need to worry about a lengthy absence.
He’s likely to sit out of the cup game anyway if it’s remotely a close call because of the options we have and the lower league opposition, but it shouldn’t be any worse than that.
In other Rangers news, one BT Sport pundit praised this “quality” Gers ace for what he did in the win over Ross County.
