Michael Beale confirms fee agreed for Rangers to sign Malik Tillman permanently

Michael Beale has confirmed that Rangers will look to sign Malik Tillman permanently from Bayern Munich after the end of the season.

The attacking midfielder is currently on loan but Beale has confirmed that “fee agreed” between both clubs to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Tillman has been outstanding under Beale and he scored in the 3-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle on Wednesday (1 February).

The Gers boss is impressed with the youngster who has settled in nicely at Ibrox. Ideally, the club want to sign him for the long term, and Beale believes that Tillman has got an “exciting” future ahead of him.

“Yeah. Of course, we can. There’s a fee agreed. Everything is in place. You get the season out of the way then you sit down and talk to everybody and try and get it done,” said Beale as quoted by Herald Scotland.

“If it was on my decision and Rangers’ decision we would have him here for the long term. He’s a player that we like and a boy that’s settled in really well at our club. At 20 years old he’s got a really exciting future.”

Exciting

That is absolutely fantastic.

Rangers should do everything to sign Tillman permanently. He is only 20 and has got great potential.

Under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, there were signs of inconsistency in his game, but he has been fairly consistent under Beale.

The attacking midfielder has scored six goals and provided four assists in 22 league games already, and should be aiming for hitting double-digit figures by the end of the season.

Rangers have further bolstered this area in January by landing Todd Cantwell, who joined from Norwich City.

He will be expected to compete alongside Tillman and Ryan Kent for the regular starting role.

Beale stressed the need to sign players who can improve the current squad, and that’s why getting Tillman permanently should be the top priority in the summer.

The Bears squad will get even better when Ian’s Hagi will return from a long injury lay-off. Let’s hope the club can also manage to secure the long-term future of Kent as well.
