Home Office yet to approve Nicolas Raskin work permit at Rangers, he’s ruled out v Hearts
Nicolas Raskin will not make his Rangers debut against Hearts with his work permit yet to be approved, according to the Daily Record.
The Light Blues completed the signing of the talented 21-year-old on deadline day after they agreed a £1.75million deal with Standard Liege.
Although Raskin will have to watch on at Tynecastle on Wednesday, Record Sport claim (1 February) club chiefs are fully confident the midfielder will be able to feature against Ross County on Saturday.

It’s understood a “senior Ibrox insider” has suggested the hold-up is just a “mere formality” and that he will be set to make his debut at the weekend.
Superb
The signing of Raskin was exactly what Michael Beale was after on deadline day – and the Ibrox faithful will now be intrigued to see what the youngster can do when he’s unleashed into the first team.
He’s a versatile midfielder who will be able to turn defence into attacking quickly. Furthermore, he will also provide Beale with a slightly more youthful option in the middle of the park.
Scott Arfield and Ryan Jack are entering the latter stages of their careers and Steven Davis has probably played his last game of professional football after suffering a serious knee injury.

Beale will be fairly happy with his transfer business during his first window in charge at Ibrox. Todd Cantwell could prove to be an exciting addition and Raskin will hopefully go on to be an asset in the future.
January can be notoriously hard to navigate, particularly when it comes to permanent deals, so on the whole, Rangers have done relatively well.
