Hearts fans mock Alfredo Morelos with abusive chants, Rangers striker responds to them – Sky Sports journalist
Hearts fans mocked Alfredo Morelos for his “rotund physique” as Rangers won 3-0 at Tynecastle in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night, according to Mark Benstead.
Morelos, 26, scored twice in the Gers’ straightforward win in Edinburgh and after the second goal, Sky Sports journalist Benstead detailed how the Colombian striker responded to unpleasant chants by the home fans.
It was El Bufalo who had the last laugh as he fired the Light Blues to a comprehensive victory at Tynecastle.

“It was checked by VAR and the goal stood,” said Benstead on Sky Sports News on Wednesday night (1 February, 9:15pm).
“The ball was switched out to the right with Fashion Sakala, who’s been good tonight.
“His ball to the back post was knocked in by Morelos.
“He enjoyed his celebration in front of the home supporters, it has to be said.
“He’s taken a little bit of grief tonight about his – let’s put it this way – his rotund physique. And he certainly enjoyed giving a bit back.”

On fire
Morelos has played a lot of games lately and that has certainly helped the Colombian get his mojo back.
He’s now scored four goals in the last three Scottish Premiership games, assisting two goals in the process too.
Michael Beale has kind of been forced to put faith in Morelos due to injuries to Antonio Colak and Kemar Roofe but it’s fair to say that the South American goal machine has repaid that faith.
He’s looking fit and hungry to find the back of the net, which is all we ask for from Morelos because when he’s got a fire in his belly, that’s when he’s at his best.
Before Beale was hired, Morelos had three league goals in 12 games.
Since the change of management during the World Cup break, Morelos has six goals in nine league appearances.
Beale’s got the best out of Morelos, it’s fair to say. But credit also has to go to the striker himself.
Is a new deal on the cards?
