Swansea City set to sign Karlan Grant, Morgan Whittaker still won’t join Rangers
Swansea City are set to sign West Brom striker Karlan Grant on the deadline day, but it won’t free up the space for Morgan Whittaker to join Rangers, according to Wales Online.
It is understood that the Swans are admirers of the West Brom forward and he will become their first signing of the January window.
Irrespective of whether Swansea can land Grant on the deadline day, it will have no impact on the future of Whittaker, despite “fierce” interest from the Glasgow giants this month.

Great window
Whittaker enjoyed a fantastic loan spell at Plymouth in the first half of the campaign.
The 22-year-old managed nine goals and seven assists for the League One side in 19 starts in the league, and he was really enjoying his football.
The Swans recalled him, and Rangers got interested. The Bears have made several attempts to lure him to Ibrox, and even the players skipped one match as he wasn’t in the right frame of mind.
It seemed like he would leave the Wales club, but in the end, the deal didn’t materialise.

Michael Beale should be very happy with the signings he has made this month.
The Bears signed Todd Cantwell from Norwich City and completed the signing of Nicolas Raskin from Standard Liege on the deadline day.
The two players will add depth and quality in midfield for Rangers. Ideally, Beale would have loved to have Whittaker but he would still be very happy with the new signings.
In other Rangers news, one Bears star has taken to social media to mock criticism from a Sky Sports pundit.
