Rangers transfer news as multiple deals being eyed up before 11pm deadline
Rangers are looking to bring in more signings than just Nicolas Raskin before the transfer deadline, according to Sky Sports.
Sky Sports journalist Luke Shanley reported that a deal for Raskin is getting ever closer, however, it is yet to be completed by Rangers.
Shanley also claimed that Raskin isn’t the only deal Rangers are trying to get over the line today (31 January), although, he remained coy on who this might be.
“Nicolas Raskin, the Belgian U21 international that one is getting ever closer but it’s not a done deal yet,” as quoted by Sky Sports. (31 January, 11:58 AM)
“We know that Rangers want to get that one over the line, they are also looking to bring in more than just Raskin to Ibrox before the end of the window before which is an 11 PM deadline, so we will wait to see any developments on that one”
Very interesting.
Obviously, we all know Raskin is pretty much certain to sign on the dotted line for Rangers today, but who else could the club be eyeing deals for?
The Athletic’s Jordan Campbell reported today (31 January) that a deal for Whittaker was off of the cards for Rangers so that likely leaves the Swansea man out of the question.
So who could be on the wish list of Beale as we head into the dying hours of the transfer window? This is something that still isn’t clear.
A nice little surprise on deadline day, however, is always welcomed and hopefully, Rangers are working hard behind the scenes to bring in some extra fresh faces.
Todd Cantwell and Raskin alone would be a fairly decent window but fans still feel like more is needed to improve the squad depth and saw this month as the perfect opportunity to improve that.
Buckle up, the next few hours could be extremely interesting for Rangers.
