Rangers to announce Nicolas Raskin signing ‘later’, one other deal on the cards – David Edgar
Rangers have secured the signing of Nicolas Raskin from Standard Liege, and his announcement will be done “later”, as reported by David Edgar, the man behind Heart & Hand Podcast.
The Gers official media partner has dropped an exciting update on Twitter (31 January) saying the Glasgow giants are working for one more signing before the 11 pm deadline.
The Bears have already signed Todd Cantwell from Norwich City, but there’s every chance they could secure a double swoop before the window closes on Tuesday (31 January) night.
“Raskin is done, announcement later. Still working on at least one more,” wrote Edgar.
Exciting few hours
Fasten your seat belts. This could be an amazing day for the Rangers fans.
While we are expecting an official announcement for Raskin, the prospect of more addition is really making the fans excited.
At the start of the window, Michael Beale identified Raskin as one of his key January targets, but the Gers faced a lot of difficulty in luring him to Ibrox.
The 21-year-old, who was frozen out by his club, was desperate to join Rangers. Standard rejected two bids from the Gers, but eventually, an agreement was reached.

The youngster arrived in Scotland on Monday (30 January) to complete all the formalities, and Edgar has reported that it’s “done”.
After a prolonged pursuit, the Gers are now poised to announce the deal later in the day.
Rangers, however, won’t be signing Swansea City attacker Morgan Whittaker but the club is still looking to add one more player before today’s deadline.
