Rangers player Josh McPake told he can leave amid Colchester transfer interest
Rangers starlet Josh McPake will reportedly be allowed to leave the club in the January transfer window despite being on loan at Queen’s Park.
According to Scottish Herald journalist Chris Jack [31 January], EFL League Two side Colchester City FC are keen on signing the 21-year-old winger.
Along with McPake, even Kai Kennedy has been told that he can seal his permanent exit this month.

Sell him
If McPake isn’t showing signs of breaking into the first team at 21, then maybe the time may have arrived for him to leave the club.
Since 2019, Rangers have loaned him out to different sides and he’s not done enough for the decision makers at Ibrox to integrate him with the seniors.
Rather than having him on their books and constantly loaning him out, it’s best if they end up going their own separate ways.

League Two could be a good place for him to play regularly and gradually climb up the pyramid if he does end up improving.
Colchester want to sign him, but they’ve not yet made an approach which is surprising given that there’s not long left before the window closes.
Hopefully, an official offer comes in for both McPake and whoever the suitors for Kennedy are as they’re both unlikely to feature for the club again.
In other Rangers news, the club are now fancying their chances of major a January transfer after Fabrizio Romano’s update with a move on the cards.
