Nicolas Raskin arrives at Auchenhowie with Ross Wilson to complete Rangers deadline day transfer
Nicolas Raskin has finally arrived at Auchenhowie to put pen to paper on his Rangers contract to complete his January transfer, as shown on Sky Sports.
The Belgian midfielder has agreed to join the club on a four and a half year contract after a chase that went on all summer, after the club agreed a deal with Standard Liege to bring him in this month rather than on a free transfer in the summer.
Now Sky Sports (31 January) have captured the young ace arriving at Rangers’ training ground with sporting director Ross Wilson to finalise the deal before tonight’s midnight deadline.
Finally
It’s been a long road to get this transfer done, but Rangers were always confident of getting their man and Michael Beale has done just that.
Beale wants more control in midfield and a deeper pool of options to choose from, with his only current options being Glen Kamara, John Lundstram and Ryan Jack.
Raskin offers both of those things, and being able to bring him into the club ahead of the summer means they’re now well on track with their plan to bolster the squad and improve going forward.

Todd Cantwell has also arrived and while a move for Morgan Whittaker fell early and couldn’t be resurrected, it’s been a pretty good window for Rangers and the second half of the season looks encouraging.
Raskin got his move, Wilson and Beale got their man and Rangers have got a stronger squad than they had at the start of the month which is all they could have asked for.
In other Rangers news, £1.75m deal agreed as Rangers secure deadline-busting transfer.
