Nicolas Raskin likes tweet about Standard Liege exit as Rangers transfer edges closer
Nicolas Raskin has liked a tweet about his departure from Standard Liege as Rangers close in on the Belgium under-21 midfielder.
According to former RMC journalist Sacha Tavolieri (via Twitter, 30 January) the Light Blues have beaten a host of clubs to the versatile midfielder.
Raskin is understood to have already landed in Scotland (Daily Record, 30 January) ahead of finalising his move to Ibrox. The 21-year-old has since liked a tweet asking him to not forget the Juplier League side.

“Thank you for everything, don’t forget us,” the tweet said (Twitter, 30 January).
Brilliant work
Rangers have done extremely well to get this move over the line. Raskin has been a man in demand but Ibrox has always seemed like his preferred destination.
If the 21-year-old had two or three years left on his contract there’s a chance Standard Liege could well have been asking for upwards of £10million for the midfielder. If he continues on the same trajectory, there’s a chance he could well be worth that for the Light Blues in the years to come.

He adds much-needed youth to Michael Beale’s midfield and will also provide a versatile option for the boss to call upon. If the board can get the Raskin deal over the line then it would’ve been a very successful transfer window for the Scottish giants.
Todd Cantwell has already come through the door at Ibrox to give the Gers more depth in attacking midfield. The icing on the cake would be Swansea City attacker Morgan Whittaker, however, a move looks unlikely.
In other Rangers news, the club are now fancying their chances of major a January transfer after Fabrizio Romano’s update with a move on the cards.
